In an earlier interview, Boney opened up on his transformation journey, revealing that he has lost 14 kgs and undergone a hair transplant. He mentioned that after seeing himself on the monitor while working in ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ playing the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s father, he realized the need to focus on becoming fitter and healthier.
“After Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, when I saw myself on the monitor, I felt that I should… and my kids also wanted me to look sharper, leaner, better and of course, healthwise also I needed to… I am 69 today so I am not getting any younger so there were reasons whether it was Arjun, Janhvi, Anshula, Khushi. All four in some way or the other used to convey it to me,” the filmmaker stated.
He also expressed that his childrens, Janhvi and Arjun Kapoor, have been always supportive throughout his transformation journey. He mentioned that while his daughter Janhvi often shows her love and support on social media, his son Arjun is more reserved and not as demonstrative in public.
On his work front, Boney’s upcoming film ‘No Entry 2’ starring Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor shooting will go on floors in June 2025. The first part of the film featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu and Celina Jaitly.
