When Bipasha Basu revealed she felt abandoned after breakup with John Abraham: ‘I went through a lot of pain…’ | – Times of India

Bipasha Basu and John Abraham were one of the most loved couples of the early 2000s, with their chemistry in ‘Jism’ being unforgettable. They fell in love during the film’s production but later split. While the exact reason remains unclear, John mentioned he wasn’t ready for marriage, and Bipasha hinted that infidelity played a role.
While John described their breakup as amicable, Bipasha denied this, stating it was far from amicable. In a throwback interview with Times of India, she opened up about her emotional state following her split from John Abraham.

She said, “I felt abandoned. I was living in a lala land till then. Now sitting today I feel I was so foolish. During those nine years, I retracted from my work, pushed back opportunities, stood like a rock for the man I loved, did not meet people just to give that extra time to make my relationship work and then I realised that the thing I was working so hard for was gone overnight. It took me months to realise that it’s over and I am abandoned. I went through a lot of pain. I used to howl, went into isolation, it hurt.”

After her breakup, Bipasha was heartbroken and admitted that despite giving her all, she felt abandoned. She had previously dated Dino Morea and Milind Soman, with whom she shares a great relationship. Dino even attended Bipasha’s wedding to Karan Singh Grover.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Bipasha shared that it is possible to remain friends with an ex if the breakup was mutual and the person is a good human being. However, if the ex was difficult or disrespectful, maintaining a friendship wouldn’t be possible.
Bipasha is currently married to Karan Singh Grover and are parents to tehir adorable daghter Devi. John, on the other side, got hitched to Priya Runchal in an intimate ceremony in 2014.
