Brisbane weather update: Will rain save India in Gabba or the batters wake up to fight on Day 4? | Cricket News – Times of India

The Brisbane weather forecast for Tuesday, December 17, remains grim; but the focus of Indian batters will be on the ball rather than the skies overhead to show some teeth on the fourth day of the ongoing Gabba Test against Australia.
India have their backs against the wall with the score reading 51 for 4 in reply to Australia’s first-innings total of 445, thanks to centuries by Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101), and their 241-run partnership.

We as a team are going through transition: Jasprit Bumrah

If it wasn’t for Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliance, the visitors would have been staring at an even bigger deficit than the 394 runs they trail by at the end of third day.
Bumrah continued his one-man show with figures of 6 for 76, but India’s batting once again came a cropper. Barring KL Rahul’s patient 33 not out, Yashasvi Jaiswal (4), Shubman Gill (1), Virat Kohli (3) and Rishabh Pant (9) failed to deliver the goods.
At stumps on Monday, Rahul and Rohit (0*) were at the crease.

Like on day one, rain curtailed play on the fourth day, limiting it to just 33.1 overs. And the forecast for Tuesday isn’t any batter.
According to the local weather department, there is a 90% chance of showers on December 14 in the morning and afternoon.
Here’s how it looks:

The five-Test series currently stands at 1-1.
India won the first Test in Perth by 295 runs, and the hosts drew level with a 10-wicket win in the pink-ball Test at Adelaide.
