Zayed Khan made his big Bollywood debuted in Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne and gained fame alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Main Hoon Na, his only box-office hit. Despite career setbacks, he transitioned to business and became wealthier than many successful peers.
Zayed, son of Sanjay Khan and nephew of Feroz Khan, began his film career in 2003 at 22. He gained recognition with Main Hoon Na and Dus, both successful at the box office. However, he struggled as a solo lead, with 10 flops between 2005-2012, including Fight Club and Mission Istanbul. His final film, Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene (2015), also failed. In 2017, he made a comeback on TV with Haasil, after a career spanning 15 films—one hit, 13 flops, and one average success.
Despite his fading acting career, Zayed wisely diversified his earnings using his business management degree. He invested in startups and ventures, and by 2024, ET Now reported his net worth at Rs 1500 crore. While Zayed neither confirmed nor denied the figure, it surpasses many stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Prabhas, and Allu Arjun.
In an interview with Subhojit Ghosh, the actor emphasised the importance of living within one’s means. He highlighted how the pressure to maintain an image on social media often leads people to overspend and accumulate debt. He warned against this cycle, advising caution to avoid financial pitfalls and unnecessary burdens.
Zayed criticised the peer pressure to show off, labeling it as harmful and irresponsible. He urged youngsters to develop resilience and strong character instead of succumbing to societal expectations of extravagant lifestyles.
Earlier this year, Zayed Khan announced his plans to return to acting through Instagram, though he kept details of his comeback project under wraps. He also stated his intention to balance his acting career with his ongoing business ventures.
