Prayers from Pakistan for Vinod Kambli's recovery: 'Duaon mei usko yaad rakhein'

Former Pakistan batter Basit Ali said that he had a video-chat with ailing ex-India cricketer Vinod Kambli and prayed for his speedy recovery.
Kambli has been hospitalized in a hospital at Thane since Saturday night. He has been suffering from a severe urinary infection. At a recent public appearance, the 52-year-old Kambli appeared very weak and had difficulty speaking coherently.
He was taken to the hospital by a fan, who also owns the hospital.

Praying about Kambli’s wellness on his YouTube channel, Basit said that he contacted Kambli and had a chat with him about his health condition.
“Aaj Vinod se video link pe baat hui hai aur woh behtar hai, bada pur-umeed hai ke mai wapas aaunga (I talked to Vinod over a video call today; he is better and is full of hope about his return to good health),” said Basit.
Basit then requested his fans to pray for Kambli’s recovery.
“Aap sab logon se dobara request hai duaon mei usko yaad rakhein (I request you all again to keep him in your prayers).”
A few days ago, in an interaction with YouTuber Vicky Lalwani on his channel, Kambli spoke about his health condition.
“I was suffering from a urine problem. It was just flowing. My son, Jesus Cristiano, picked me up and brought me back to my feet. My daughter, who is 10 years old, and my wife came to help me. This happened one month ago. My head started spinning; I collapsed and fell down. The doctor told me to get admitted,” Kambli had said.

At the hospital, he thanked the doctor and promised to do everything required to recover quickly.
“It is because of the doctor here that I am alive… All I would say is that I will do whatever sir (the doctor) asks me to. People will see the inspiration that I’ll give them…” said the former cricketer, who played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India.
